Weekly Wisdom - We are not meant to be perfect. We are meant to be whole.

Last Saturday sneakerheads filled the streets of  SoHo for the annual event  Sneaker Con 2010. The event supplied these sneaker obsessed  sneakerfeins with over 40 vendors and the ability to buy, sell, and trade kicks and clothing as well.  The good folks coordinating Sneaker Con gave Y&Y the opportunity check out the event. Sneaker Con was ultra packed with the line wrapping around the block all for one common love interest; Sneakers. More after the cut.

While attending the event several things and people caught my eyes. Whether it was the youngest kid selling kicks, the turn out of girls to the stories behind the love for kicks. As a person who loves sneakers with a passion it was cool seeing people trade, buy and sell kicks. Though it was mostly guys in attendance I was intrigued by three female attendees.  I was intrigued my them being at the largely male dominated event. It showed that it’s not just a guy thing and girls like sneakers too.

One women had spoke to had been a sneaker lover since she was a teen and now she’s in her thirtys. Sneaker Con had vendors such as Chivalrous Culture, Adidas and FLüD Watches. There were also several vendors selling Va$htie’sx Jordan collaboration kicks the Air Jordan Retro II. To rap up the event Sneaker Con was quite good.  The event ended with Adidas holding a raffle. Overall the event was quite dope.
