This week was a pretty slow week for Music News and left me with a descision to make, whether or not to write this post. You may have noticed that normally this would be posted on a Sunday but I just didn’t have enough worthy news write a post about. What I have decided to do is write a very short a sweet post on the two most news worthy stories of the week and the rest I have just listed. This is a must read for all former B2K fans, a shocking accusation! (why do I feel like I’m writing for the tabloids right now lol)
follow DJB on twitter, add him facebook
Raz B
I had to start this week’s Music News Weekly with, what I believe to be, an explosive video in which Raz B the former member of the popular multi-platinum selling boyband B2K claims that he was involved involuntarily in ‘sexual encounters’ with none other than former IMX member Marques Houston. The seemingly rattled star dived deeper into the situation and branded both Houston and childhood mentor and manager Chris Stokes as “paedophiles”. Peep what he had to say in the two videos below, note that he is talking to Houston on the phone in one of the videos.
Sidebar: What the f*ck are those glasses he is wearing LOL, I can’t!
If you watch those videos you would realise that the man although he brandishes Marques Houston and Chris stokes as paedophiles, the man that he is clearly mad with is his for band member Omarion.
Coincidentally Omarion was in town (London) this week and my good friends over at That Grape Juice had the opportunity to interview him. During this interview they took the chance to ask of his opinion on the Raz B outburst and let’s just say he is not best pleased. Take a look at what he had to say.
Judging by his facial at the very end of that clip Omarion is one pissed off guy. I have a feeling that if those two were to ever be in the same room again fireworks would fly. It’s time to get the popcorn and watch this whole saga unfold.
Christina Aguilera
When the going gets tough it gets real rough and that is a line that summarises the torrid year that power house singer Christina Aguilera has had. With a complete and utter disaster of an album and a few failed singles news has surfaced that she and her husband Jordan Bratman are to separate after five years of marriage.
Singer Christina Aguilera is going solo.
Though the pop star, 29, told UsMagazine.com less than a year ago that she felt “very blessed” in her union with music executive Jordan Bratman, 33, a source close to Aguilera tells Usthe couple “have been separated for a few months.”
And though Aguilera and Bratman — who met in 2002 (he was a producer on one of her albums) and wed in 2005 — have not yet decided whether to divorce, the source reveals, “they are now living apart, and they will see how that goes.”
What went wrong?
“They were very much in love,” explains the insider. “But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.”The source adds that Aguilera even “ proposed their August trip to Italy to rekindle their relationship, but it didn’t help.”
The duo remain united in their commitment, however, to son Max, 2.
“He is their main concern,” says the pal. Aguilera has even been bringing the tot to the studio while she wraps up the soundtrack for her November 24 musical, Burlesque.
“Christina is doing her best to be a great mom,” says the insider. “She has a lot to juggle, but she’s learning how to make it work and balance it all.” Source
It is always sad when a relationship ends and especially one that has seen a lot time be invested and consist of more than just to two people involved i.e children. Let’s just hope that both Christina and Jordan can get through this difficult time whether they end up back together or not.
