So my lovely friend over at FrankPR sent me an invite to a party hosted by Rev Run last week and my initial reaction was this. To think that I was in the same room as the Godfather of Hip-Hop is truly a blessing. There was no way I was going to miss it even though I had work at 9:30am the next morning! free alcohol and legendary icons means I will be in attendance. We headed down after work to one of the swankiest restaurants in the city, Aqua Kyoto. The view from the rooftop overlooking Oxford Circus is dope! weirdly romantic. Much more after the cut.

Ya’ll probably thinking why the hell is Rev hosting a party in London? Well it was the launch for his 80s-inspired sneaker and tee collection. He’s teamed up with sports giant FootLocker to bring this to ya’ll. The Hip-Hop legend has created a collection featuring his famous ‘words of wisdom’.
“This is the ideal moment for me, it’s something that I’m really proud of – my influence is from the 80s… The sneakers remind me of when I was younger, of hip-hop around the time of the Beastie Boys, the whole time period when I was out doing Walk This Way,” he said.
It was honestly one of the best parties I have ever attended, even though I left real early to get home on the last train. Everything was perfect – the right mood, the sneaker installations, DJ booth, roof terrace, free cocktails, canapés and of course the company. There isn’t really much more I can say about the party but ya’ll can flick through the photographs and decipher the happenings. I was fairly drunk so apologies in advance for the slightly out of focus photography.
There were a fair few celebrities, most of which London ‘socialites’ but to be honest I wasn’t looking out for any of them. It was Run’s House, till Amber Rose walked in and posed for this photograph. She stared right into my eyes, well camera lens. Boner. #Dead. Unfortunately for her, I was already taken.
I’m not going to lie me and my friend Caz pretty much jumped up and down like we had won the World Cup. Shiiiet.
Oh I forgot to mention, Westwood and Mark Ronson were on the decks. I haven’t got any photographs of the latter however.
