Weekly Wisdom - Plant your seed in the ground, water it and believe.

It has been over a week since I started my internship. I feel like I’ve settled in well within the office now and I’m slowly getting used to waking up at 6:45 to get ready. More after the cut.

The lack of sleep/getting up early part was the toughest part for me to get used to, especially since I had been living on student time for god knows how long. 4am bedtimes! Now I try to have all my posts done by 1am so I can hop into bed, however I tend to get phone calls from females around that time and I can not pick up. #weakness

Managing both the blog and internship has been a challenge so far, as soon as I get home I go straight onto the mac after dinner to write posts. Its tough but it has slowly become part of my daily routine.

As for what I’ve actually been doing at work. Well it’s a mixture of things – design, brainstorms, compiling client competitor reports, writing blogposts and covering events. Yesterday, I was set one of my toughest tasks – writing the Monday Mash-Up for the agency’s own blog. The post is basically a summary of the past week’s social media news. The main boss set me the task so for 2 hours my palms were sweaty, knees weak and arms heavy. However I managed to get it done, here’s the post: click here.

I know I said this in the last post but the real world in the creative industry is fun, I love what I’m doing right now and quite honestly speaking, I’d rather do this now then go back to university. I’m actually writing this post on the tube to work while being squashed by several humans. One of which is wearing CROCs, filth. Those things should be banned.

Until next time,

Yin.
