Yeezy announced last week that his label, the G.O.O.D. music family will be dropping brand new tracks every Friday till the end of the year. For a Yeezy stan like me this is amazing news and wait for it, he’s just gone and topped that by announcing a 5-track EP with his big brother, Jay-Z. I’m sure the first track off that EP is the Power remix and the 2nd is this. After the cut to listen, for my thoughts and more.

Kanye West – Monster (feat. Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Bon Iver & Rick Ross) – Link
This song is definitely a grower. On my first play I wasn’t really feeling it, thought it was a bit messy but now I have it on repeat. The beat is infectious, Jay-Z, Ye and surprisingly Nicki Minaj kill their verses. It’s probably one of Nicki’s best verses but I don’t really like her voice/lyrical wordplay. I don’t get the Srilanka reference, anyone care to explain?
The Rosewood Movement
You may have seen Yeezy and his entourage all wearing suits recently. It’s part of a movement, Kanye has forced his label mates to participate in. I think it’s a dope idea, nothing beats a well fitted black suit. The Rosewood movement requires a sartorial flair but the initiative actually goes beyond fashion as it requires those involved to portray themselves in a grown-up and exemplary manner whilst in public. Basically to be a model citizen within the society.
