A few days ago we headed down to the Casio event after work to check out what their upcoming collections for their premium watches range as well as their instantly recognisable G-Shock range. I’ll be honest, I’m not a big fan of their ‘classic’ models that were on display in the actual ‘Winter in August’ showroom. I feel if I’m going to spend money on a classic piece it would be from a brand that’s known for it. When I think Casio, I think G-Shock and they haven’t failed me with the new range. More after the cut.

There were a lot of collaborations on display but my 2 favourite watches were the new range of Baby-G BGA-200 – I’m not going to wear it don’t worry, it’s a lady’s watch but it’s probably the best timepiece I’ve seen from the Baby-G series. The vibrant colourways with the exuding retro appeal makes it somewhat perfect functional accessory for any outfit. I like the mixture of analogue/digital split screen displays. They’ll be available from G-Shock East for £90.
My other favourite was the Dee&Ricky watch and I wasn’t disappointed when I saw it in person. Definitely the most original collaboration out there at the moment, it’s not due out here for another few weeks. It will be retailing for around £150. Enjoy the rest of the photos.
Major props to Claire from FrankPR for the invite.
