It’s been a while since my last Adspiration post, I’ve been slacking. I haven’t really bothered checking for new campaigns, it’s bad especially since I’m a Creative Advertising student who’s going into final year in October. Eeek. Here are my favourite adverts from the past few weeks, peep them on the flipside.

1. Dove Body Milk: Magic Mirror
“After a hot shower your skin will love Dove Body Milk.”
The challenge was to create awareness for Dove‘s body lotion as thousands of the samples never get opened; they end up in the bin, disappear inside handbags and remain glued to the adverts in magazines. As always the idea to counter this is GENIUS. They sent hotel managers a special magic mirror marker and asked them to write the slogan of the campaign onto the mirror. The marker uses a special de-mister fluid that makes the writing appear on them when the mirrors steams up after the shower. This would freak me the eff out if I noticed writing on the mirror as I got out of the shower. I’d have a Grudge moment.
2. Milky Bar: Ungrow Up
I’m not the World’s biggest fan of chocolate but I have loved Milky Bar all my life. Even now I go into the newsagents and pick up a 40p bar, much to the surprise of other adults and peers as it’s seen as a little kid’s chocolate bar. Check out this new campaign trying to reposition the brand so it appeals to more adults. Check out the adverts below, I need to get me one of those bars! review purposes only #fattimes
3. The African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust (ACLT): Unlucky, The same, How many
I don’t think I need to use many words to describe this one. I love adverts with clever quirky ideas but sometimes for serious messages such as this one, it’s best to go straight to the point. It’s extremely powerful and effective. The imagery is also strong and bold, no messing around with the illustrations either as it’s crystal clear what the message it is trying to convey.
