Weekly Wisdom - We are not meant to be perfect. We are meant to be whole.

I stumbled across the main photo on a site and instantly thought that has to be in Kerala. For those that don’t already know, I’m Indian and my parents are from home a small state down south called Kerala. I’ve been there a good dozen times and pretty much hate going with family as all we ever do is visit unknown relatives. This house is nothing like I’ve seen there in all my visits, the architecture is simply amazing. Houses there are usually quite traditional and hell of a lot bigger than the average house here, in fact probably double the size. More photos on the flipside.

It’s simply stunning, I love the contrast between the architecture and it’s calm surroundings. As a graphic designer, my style of design is quite clean and modern (like this site) and this tends to lead onto my fashion and tastes with other things such as architecture. I love the minimalist modern look of this house, it’s minimalism at it’s best. Personally I love the use of all that wood but I do feel there is a little too much concrete. According to the architects this house was built for a London-based client, I need to find out if this person has a daughter. Gold-digging flex.

Kerala is beautiful, just look at the views. I’ve always told my dad that I won’t go back there when I’m older but after seeing this house, I want to build my own there. Kerala = God’s Own Country, it’s the official slogan. Fact.
