I am a little late with this but I still had to go ahead and post it. The picture above is a sneak peak at artwork which can only be described as pure dopeness. I came across this today and I fell in love with it and just had to share. Nick Gentry has undoubtedly captured and infused a sense of nostalgia for obsolete media with extraordinary artistic talent. Using the humble and once ridiculously abundant floppy disc, Nick Gentry creates a canvas on which he carves out beautiful monochrome portraits with a splash of colour. More amazing pieces of art after the cut.

Broad brush strokes provide the silhouette for each striking portrait, though the underlying canvas still peeks through revealing disc labels both handwritten and mass produced, hinting at the forever lost information within. Admire from a distance or get close and reminisce on the days before the flash disk.
