We’ve been knocked out again just like every other competitive tournament we have taken part in the last 40 or so years. Surprising? No. We all saw it coming from the disastrous group stages. It’s just not there, we don’t have the technical ability or team work to break down teams the way like Germany and co. More after the cut.

Capello’s past teams have all be known for their great defensive ability, heck all Italians are known for it. Where was our defence? a pure shambles. The first error was playing Gerrard on the left; a player who is known for his darting runs into the centre and long range shots but there was none of that. He was restricted and overtime he attacked, Cashley Cole was left exposed. The Germans made the best of that. *sigh*
I could go on for an hour or two listing all the flaws in Capello’s strategy but one thing is clear; we SUCKED. The lucky 2-1 win against Japan before the WC pretty much gave me an idea of what was in store so I wasn’t hyped by the Media at all for this tournament. The last 2 tournaments I have been reduced to tears after watching my team go out but this time, fuck that. Give me a pint and some good football to watch. I’m a strong supporter of GOOD football.
P.S. Sepp Blatter, you c*nt. Goal-line technology is much needed.
