Although the single Commander, for most, has seen to be the lead single from Ms Kelly’s as yet untitled 3rd studio album It has been announced via Kelly Rowland’s official MySpace page, that she is set to release two Stateside singles simultaneously.

‘Grown Woman’ and ‘Rose Coloured Glasses’.
Commander hasn’t really hit it off in the states thus far but is sure to be a hit in European territories especially when the official music video drops Monday 14th June. I personally have been a champion of the song and I cant express how much I love the remix which, if I might add, I think would serve as a great single in the US market if served to urban radio stations along with an accompanying music video which is different to the original video.
However this post isn’t about how much I love the Commander remix, its about the two new singles which are both set to make their radio debut on June 29th. The Dr Luke produced and Ester Dean written ‘Rose Coloured Glasses’ is to be aimed at the mainstream audience while ‘Grown Ass Woman’ which was produced by Stargate and penned by Ne-Yo will be served to Urban mainstream and crossover stations.
With the release of the two singles it seems that Rowland and her camp are hoping to please the mainstream audience while still catering to her core urban fans. I for one really hope it works out well for her. Take a listen to the tracks below.
PS. On my first listen to Rose Coloured glasses, I couldn’t help but notice that this song wouldn’t be out of place on Cheryl Cole’s album.
