K.West in the building! I really wanted to say that. But one of the best rappers of this time in my opinion is back. Kanye will be making his first return to the stage at the 2010 BET Awards since his infamous outburst at VMAS to Taylor Swift. “Yo I’m really happy for you. And Imma Let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.” *kanyeshrugs and drops mic* It was way too epic. More after cut.
Kanye is also nominated for two BET Awards; one for Video of the Year on his work on Jay-Z’s “Run This Town,” which also features Rihanna. The multi-platinum rapper and producer has been making a slow return back onto the scene in the past few months: on Tuesday, Kanye treated students at three different high schools in Chicago to private concerts. He was also joined by fellow Chi-town MC’s Common and Lupe Fiasco who performed for the students as part of the Kanye West Foundation’s annual Stay in School event. In May, Yeezy made a surprise appearance at a Manhattan nightclub, where he held an impromptu listening session of a few songs from his upcoming album Good Ass Job.
Then, earlier this month, West’s latest track “Power” hit the Internet. So far Mr. West has not announced what song he will be performing but I can assure it’ll be a phenomenal performance and for the people wondering when this splendid album is set to come out. It’s coming out…*drum roll please!!* sometime in September so mark your calenders, keep your ears open and expect some serious Kanye greatness.
