Adspiration

posted in advertising by Yin

Time for some inspiration in the form of advertisements. I just finished sophomore year at university so I haven’t really bothered looking at advertisements of any sort, need a break from all that stuff. My top 3 adverts after the jump.

follow me on twitter, add me on facebook

1. Virgin Atlantic Airways – Luggage Tags

This is a genius ambient advertising campaign from Virgin. They basically place luggage bag tags on shopping bags but these tags aren’t your regular tags you get when you visit the airports; they’re advertising a special fare for a specific seat on a plane journey. Each tag represents a different seat on every plane. This campaign was hugely popular; in fact every seat on every plane on this promotion was SOLD.

2. International Organisation For Migration: Alexandra Township, Hillbrow, School.

I’m being lazy and cannot be bothered to describe the advert, the brief is explained in each image. I think it’s executed really well, pretty clever.

3. Hot Wheels – Big Boy

Imagine seeing this advert when you’re driving to work! I’d actually crash because of laughter or of shock. It’s quite a risky advert, don’t you think?

More adverts next time.
