I’ve never been abroad other than India without having someone older and wiser around so this is quite a strange new experience, I’ve lived alone in the past but was only 3 hours away from them. One of my friends lives in New Jersey so I’ve decided to head out of NY on my ones and go visit. Continues after the cut.

I haven’t had a great relationship with the New York subway system the past few days so I’m slightly worried about getting lost. My journey starts at the World Trade Centre Path station, just seeing the remains of what was one of the world’s biggest buildings is quite hard hitting. I still remember coming back from High School to see the news and 9/11 happening, in fact I was so angered and saddened by what I saw that I actually enquired about joining the Army but my parents luckily persuaded not to. I’m glad they did as i think I have a lot more other ways of providing my services to the world other than on the battlefield but when the time comes, I’ll be ready.
Tonight I’ll be raging with NJIT and Rutgers family. First I must find way from Newark Station to their Dorm, this might be quite an adventure.
