Nintendo have teamed up with Vice Magazine to celebrate their upcoming Pokémon game releases on the Nintendo DS and DSi, Vice Magazine has commisioned seven artists to create a Pokémon related piece of art. I’m sure of all of ya’ll watched the cartoon and even collected the cards at one point in your highschool days, in fact I had the elusive Charizard card. I think I may buy a Nintendo DSi for my daily commute to university and Pokémon will be a great time filler. Anyway they’re holding an exhibition to showcase the works from 24th – 31st March at Blackall Studios. More art and details on the flipside.

As always the exhibiton opens with a big launch party on the 24th, full of Nintendo tech for guests to demo, Pokémon inspired food, a lot of alcohol and live music acts: Filthy Dukes, Friendly Fires and Real Gold. The event is guestlist but you can enter a competiton to win consoles, tickets and various other goodies over www.viceland.com/repokemon to see the work, find out more about the campaign and enter the competition. I wonder how many Pokémon exist now in the games? a million?
