Well, I came across this a few days ago but haven’t had time to post it as I was working on an essay till 4:30am this morning and I’m already up. Today in my calender is going to be a Red Bull day. Hard Knock Life for me is one of the best Jay-Z tracks ever, the beat is insane. I remember when I first heard it back in the day when I had never heard anything like it. This video gives you both sides of the story in the production of this ghetto anthem; quite incredible as 45 King discovered the sample in a thrift store. Believe it or not, Jay-Z recorded this song in one go. Dopeee. I fully recommend anyone who loves Hip-Hop to watch this.
If this doesn’t inspire producers I don’t know what will. Oh I chose a photo of the HOV with the Neptunes, apparently they’re in the studio atm. I wonder what they’ve got cooking.
