I’ve never really been a big fan of BAPE. I’ve always felt that their designs were simple that I could reproduce them myself and print them for cheaper! They have grown up now and trying to switch it up for this next decade with a more mature look. Well even the name of the collaboration project with United Arrows portrays the maturity ‘Mr.Bape.’ The collection is much more sophisticated; well-fitted somber pin-striped suit complete with vest and white button down is topped off with it’s unique BAPE touch; a wide BAPE camo tie. Neat.

Yooo I can’t be letting Yang chose his top 5 and not do one for myself. Right, when it comes to music for me it’s almost impossible to pick 5 tunes from the 1000s that I’ve listened to this year. I listen to at least 5 new tracks on a daily basis, my iTunes library consists of over 14,000 songs and yes I do buy music. My musical tastes are very eclectic! but I’m going to stick with Hip-Hop & Rap tunes (mainly commercial/radio friendly tracks) in this list, after the cut for my top 500.

McDonald’s have teamed up with London-based Ad Agency, Leo Burnett to bring to you a more interactive fun LED billboard that does more than just sell burgers. It’s an interactive poster that allows the 34 million or so people that pass it every year to actually live the brand’s promise of ‘Simple Easy Enjoyment’. Using a series of 40 iconic still and moving images people can take pictures of them with the poster as the backdrop to create a fun of themselves appearing to wear or doing something silly. As you can tell from the photo, it’s actually an effective marketing tool and within a week there has already been a fan Flickr group created for it.

In a world where electronica bands are a dime a dozen and screamo bands are even more common than that you really have to have something special to stand out amongst the rest and believe me when I say that Denver duo Kyle Even and David Schmitt better know as Breathe Carolina have just that something.
